Horse Owners

What horse owners are seeing once their horses are thriving from the inside out.

Davy Russell: From Grand National Glory to Life After Racing | Horses, Family & Success

A Grand National-winning jockey, Cheltenham Festival legend, and one of the most successful riders in Irish racing history, Davy has spent a lifetime at the very top of the sport.

In this episode, Tommy Heffernan travels to Youghal, Co. Cork, to visit Davy at his family yard and hear the story behind the success.

During the conversation, Davy also discusses the importance of horse health from the inside out and shares his experience using Precision Microbes with his ponies, including the positive changes he has observed in temperament, behaviour, gut health and overall wellbeing.

Inside the Bowen Racing Yard | Peter & Mickey Bowen on Consistency, Routine & Keeping Horses Right

Tommy was down with Peter and Mickey Bowen in South Wales recently – a yard with a serious depth of experience behind it.

There’s a real sense of continuity there at the minute. Peter’s legacy firmly in place, with Mickey now taking on the training licence and driving things forward.

The operation speaks for itself – calm, consistent, and built around doing the basics very well. Precision Microbes has been part of that routine for the past 12 months, with 100ml going into feed each morning, particularly for horses in work.

Inside Paul Nolan Racing Yard: How He Keeps Racehorses Performing at Their Peak

At his yard near Enniscorthy, leading Irish racehorse trainer Paul Nolan manages a high-performing operation of 50–60 horses, consistently competing at the top level of National Hunt racing — including major festivals like Cheltenham Festival, Fairyhouse Easter Festival, and Punchestown Festival.

Paul shares how Precision Microbes complementary feed for horses and foals fits into his feeding programme: “The horses seem to hold their condition a little bit better… and they came out of their races better.”

Inside a Top National Hunt Yard 🐎 | Rebecca Curtis Racing

We were down with Rebecca Curtis in West Wales last week to see the yard in full swing. It’s a proper National Hunt set-up with great gallops on the doorstep, a smart yard, and a team that’s flat out from start to finish getting horses ready to do their job.

Rebecca Curtis has built a serious operation there, and it’s clear she runs a tight, professional ship with the horses at the centre of everything.

We had a chat with Rebecca, who first contacted Precision Microbes in October 2025 to try the product with one or two horses, including her Gold Cup contender Haiti Couleurs. After seeing what she felt was a good response, she’s now using it as part of the daily routine across the yard — 100ml per horse per day.

We’re genuinely proud to be part of the wider team around a yard like this, and we’ll be following their season closely, hoping the hard work on the ground shows when it matters most.

Sam Thomas on the Precision Microbes Complementary Feed for Horses | Better Condition & Gut Health

Former Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning jockey Sam Thomas shares his experience using the Precision Microbes complementary feed for horses and foals in his training yard. Sam runs a successful National Hunt operation in the UK, with over 40 horses in training, and now feeds the entire yard with Precision Microbes.

Originally recommended by a farmer friend, Sam saw noticeable improvements in coat condition, feed intake, and overall well-being, especially in the more difficult, picky eaters. With visible results across youngstock and performance horses alike, Precision Microbes has become a core part of his feeding regime.
